The Handara Iconic Gate is actually the main entrance gate (Candi Bentar) of a legendary golf resort complex named Handara Golf & Resort Bali, which opened back in 1976. The monumental stone architecture went viral on Instagram as a visual symbol of a grand gateway opening up into the cool, serene interior highlands of Bali.
The main draw here is the sheer scale and ancient look of the gate. The dark stone structures are covered in a thin layer of green moss due to the high humidity of the Bedugul mountains. Looking through the center opening, a long asphalt driveway cuts straight across the manicured green lawns of the golf course, ending at the foot of a massive, cloud-draped mountain wall.

Located in Pancasari Village, Sukasada, Buleleng Regency (right along the main Bedugul-Singaraja highway). It is just a 10-minute drive north from Pura Ulun Danu Beratan temple.
Operational Tips & Best Time to Visit
- Opening Hours: 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM WITA.
- Best Time: Arrive early around 6:30 AM WITA if you want to avoid standing in long lines. By midday, the wait time to take a photo can stretch from 30 to 60 minutes.
- Ticketing System: To take photos here, you need to purchase a specific Selfie Ticket from the ticket booth run by the resort management.
